Ready for another one? How about this: Peter Weber doesn’t get engaged to Madison Prewett or Hannah Ann Sluss (or Hannah Brown) in The Bachelor finale, but instead gets down on a knee for Kelley Flanagan. It sounds crazy, but then again this whole season has been a complete mess so why shouldn’t it end this way?

Kelley entered the season with a distinct advantage over the other women. She made such a strong impression on Peter that it seemed like she had a good shot to at least make it to hometowns. Some even picked her to be the winner of the season. She shared a kiss with Peter in the hotel where they met, making it seem unfair to the other women. But Kelley was quickly caught up with, Hannah Ann made sure to get plenty of one-on-one time with Peter and Madison was chosen for the first one-on-one date, where she was able to meet Peter’s family. Ultimately, Kelley wasn’t thrilled with The Bachelor as an idea, which actually makes total sense. She was fed up with the immature personalities on her season. Also valid. In the end, it was Kelley’s level-headedness that made Peter ditch her at final six for more volatile relationships with other women that he was less compatible with.

But what if Peter realizes the error of his ways and returns to Kelley’s arms after all is said and done? What if he suddenly recognizes that having nothing of substance to talk about with Hannah Ann, sharing a key difference with Madison in values and beliefs and getting into arguments with Victoria Fuller are actually all bad things? The most logical thing might be to bring Kelley home!!! and send the remaining women on their merry way.

This isn’t just pure conjecture. Cosmopolitan shared a few interesting, if inconclusive, context clues that show Kelley might be the one. Kelley was in Los Angeles with the other contestants during the taping the Women Tell All, despite not being invited. That opens speculation that maybe she was there to see Peter. The reports were that Kelley wasn’t there because she didn’t have great things to say about her experience on the show, but it’s possible that is a cover-up for the real truth. The women didn’t predict who Peter would choose, perhaps because they already know. Plus, if she was in L.A., she could have been there to see Peter. In addition, Cosmo pointed out that Peter’s mother, father and brother all follow Kelley on Instagram. They don’t follow Madison or Hannah Ann. Coincidence?

Chances are this theory will wash away with all the other ones when the finale actually does air. But if it does come to fruition, that outcome that Chris Harrison said no one will have been able to see coming? Well, now you can say you saw it.
