Catherine Giudici, star of The Bachelor, will be spending Christmas in the hospital during the final days of her pregnancy. This marks baby number three for Giudici and Sean Lowe who met on the long-running dating show back in 2013.

The 33-year-old reality star admitted to Us Weekly that her latest pregnancy happened sooner than expected. Although she and Lowe were certain they would expand their family in time, she was perfectly content with sons Samuel, 3, and Isaiah, 18-months. When she received the news that she was expecting again, there was a bit of shock followed by a period of adjustment, but quickly, she became very pleased with thought of becoming a parent for the third time. There’s no word whether Giudici will be hospitalized for an elective C-section or a perfectly timed natural childbirth.

For the busy mom, this trek to the hospital won’t hinder her Christmas celebration for sons Isaiah and Samuel. Instead, she and Lowe have already thought about how to keep things normal for the kids. “I’ll be in the hospital for Christmas,” Giudici told Us Weekly exclusively. “We’re going to pretend Christmas is sooner than when we go to the hospital so our kids don’t know anything different.”

As parents, Sean and Catherine have spent a great deal of time doting on their kids. In photos, they are picture-perfect. With such a dedication to family, it’s important for them to lavish their kids with attention so they won’t feel lonely or rejected when the new baby comes. This is especially concerning for Giudici, since she’s a middle child. Her desire to create a safe and welcoming space for soon-to-be middle son Isaiah is paramount - especially because he’s still technically in his infancy. “I was a middle child too … I know immediately when I have a newborn in my arms, Isaiah’s not going to be a baby in my thoughts.”

Whoever would have guessed that Catherine and Sean from The Bachelor would remain the breakout couple from the franchise? Much like Trista and Ryan Sutter from The Bachelorette, this duo seems built to last. That said, it’s almost comical the lengths they’ve decided to go to in order to provide a happy and festive holiday season for their two kids. Moving up the family celebration at home might be a bit hard to do if the boys were older, but because they’re both toddlers, they might actually be able to pull off the ruse. Hopefully, as older brothers, Samuel and Isaiah will be happy with the tiny bundle of joy who comes home with mommy just before the New Year. As for Sean and Catherine, may their New Year be the same embarrassment of riches they’ve been blessed with so far.
