Of all of The Flash’s villains, Reverse Flash is probably the biggest bad and most constant problem in the life of Barry Allen (besides always being late that is), but despite their rivalry, it seems they are about to team up. New information about the upcoming Flash comic has been released, and it definitely sounds exciting.
The Flash #755 will bring a conclusion to the struggle between Barry Allen and Paradox, but only with the help of one of Barry’s greatest enemies, the Reverse Flash. The cover depicts both the Flash and Reverse Flash in battle-torn outfits, clearly struggling to tackle Paradox even with their combined power.
As confirmed in DC’s May comic solicitations, the issue is set to release May 13th, 202. The comic is written by Joshua Williamson, art and cover by Rafa Sandoval and Jordi Tarragona, with a variant cover by Matteo Scalera. Readers can check out the unbelievable cover art and solicitation details below:
- THE FLASH #755 Written by JOSHUA WILLIAMSON Art and cover by RAFA SANDOVAL, JORDI TARRAGONA Variant cover by MATTEO SCALERA “The Flash Age” races to its stunning conclusion! Flash is forced to work side-by-side with his greatest foe as he teams up with the Reverse-Flash against his new foe, Paradox! But the damage Paradox did to the Flash legacy might be too much to undo!
Numerous villains dawn the name Reverse Flash, just as there are numerous Flashes, but when it comes to Barry Allen, his rival is Eobard Thawne. Sometimes referred to as Professor Zoom, Eobard Thawne first appeared in The Flash #139. Of all the Reverse Flashes, Thawne is without a doubt the most famous, and most referred to when talking about the villain, even serving as a major plot point for most of The Flash tv series. Thawn is famously known as the villain in Flash: Rebirth in which it is revealed that he is responsible for most of the tragedies in Barry’s life, including the murder of his mother and framing of his father, thus linking him all the way back to the Flash’s origin.
While it is now know that the Flash and the Reverse Flash are going to team up, the big question is why? The Reverse Flash is as clever as he is quick, and never does something without a benefit for himself. How exactly does helping Barry defeat Paradox benefit the Reverse Flash? Is this part of some larger scheme? Is it possible the Reverse Flash will switch sides and join Paradox? All of these questions and more will be finally answered come May.
