The fan anticipation is starting to grow leading into the upcoming March 2016 release of the DC Comics powerhouse cinematic showcase that will be Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The buzz has really begun to hit a fever pitch after the recent release of a third and more extended trailer for the film that touts itself as “Son of Krypton vs. Bat of Gotham”.
The onslaught of merchandise to tie-in to director Zack Snyder’s film is about to begin. A few of the highlights include a highly detailed replica of the Batmobile from Hot Toys and an in-depth Tech Manual from Titan Books.
The fine folks over at Hot Toys have been producing dynamic 1:6 scale collectible figures and prop replicas for many years now, and they rarely disappoint. They’ve been posting teasers up online about their upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 1:6 scale collectible figures, but now the first peek at their upcoming Batmobile replica from the film is garnering some serious fan attention. The full reveal is expected at the Hot Toys booth at Toy Soul 2015 on December 18th.
The images give fans a great look inside the cockpit of Batman’s legendary ride and a nice peek at the gadgets within. This latest big screen version of the Batmobile was designed by the team of Patrick Tatopoulos and Dennis McCarthy.
This version comes complete with a deadly hood ornament in the form of a stationary gun turret mount. The car will be able to drop low for fast driving and rise off of the ground for jumps. It is unknown as of yet if the Hot Toys version will reflect these features.
In other Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice merchandise news, there are quite a few books coming out this March to tie-in to the movie, but one of the more interesting titles is the Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice: Tech Manual. The book is touted as having an exclusive, in-depth look at Batman’s arsenal, vehicles, Batsuits, and the iconic Batcave. The Tech Manual is the official companion book to the film and will offer a closer look at each piece of Batman’s gear in the film, from design and blueprint to completion. The Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice: Tech Manual is available now for pre-order and will officially release on March 22nd, 2016.
