In this new mode, 100 players will be dropped from the sky onto a giant map, and must fight to be the last one standing. All players will start with is a parachute and a pickaxe. But once they hit the ground, they’ll be able to do the same things as the base Fortnite game, such as building and looting.
Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode is currently available on public test servers. Currently, there are no rewards and no squad modes for it – though these should be available when it officially launches. Once the full game mode is released at the end of the month, Epic Games will continue content updates throughout the Early Access period and after the game’s launch.
If you’re interested in picking up Fortnite during Early Access, it will be on sale for 25% off from Sept. 12-18. The Early Access version of the game isn’t free, but it will go free-to-play once it launches. Fortnite is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC through the Epic Games Launcher.
